10Spot is a list of full plates in Columbus at ten bucks or less. The whole thing only works if you can trust the price, so here's exactly how we keep it honest.
The rules
Ten bucks or less, before tax.
The price on the menu, before tax and tip. If it rings up at $10.01, it is not a 10Spot.
A full plate.
Would you call it lunch? A main with a side, or a dish that stands on its own as a meal. Appetizers and snacks do not count.
Every day they are open.
It has to be on the regular menu. No one day specials, no happy hour only. Weekday lunch specials are tagged with their hours, and the restaurant can change them.
Local only.
Columbus owned restaurants, from one room to a local group. No national chains or franchises.
Verified means checked.
A verified price was checked by someone from 10Spot in person, or came from a diner receipt that we reviewed and approved. Nothing becomes verified on its own.
Unverified is labeled.
Some spots show a price from the restaurant's own menu that we haven't checked yet. They're clearly marked Unverified, show where the price came from, and always sit below verified spots. Never from a delivery app.
The seal can't be bought.
Restaurants never pay to get certified or to rank higher. If we ever sell a featured spot, it will say so right on it.
Freshness is a feature.
Prices change. Every listing shows when we last checked it, so you never have to wonder.

- Over 90 days. The pin goes gray and dashed, the seal comes off, and it drops down the list until someone checks it again.
The seal on the door.
Restaurants that pass a price check get the Certified 10Spot seal. The season printed on it, like Verified Fall 2026, comes from the last check. We recheck every season and hand over a fresh seal each time.
When you go, say "10Spot sent me" at the counter. It's how the spot knows we're worth keeping around.
