Short version: we only collect what you send us, we use it to run 10Spot, and we never sell it.
What we collect
- "Know a spot?" tips. The restaurant, plate, price, and neighborhood you send, plus your email and notes if you choose to add them.
- Receipt photos. When you upload a receipt, we keep the photo, the price and date you enter, and your email if you add it. Receipts are stored privately and only the two people who run 10Spot can see them. Please cover your card number before you snap it.
- Anonymous counts. The map counts things like how many times a spot was opened or someone tapped Directions. These counts have no names, no accounts, and no IP addresses attached.
- Saved spots. Spots you save stay on your device. We don't see them.
- Restaurant sign ups. The restaurant details and the contact info you give us so we can set up a price check.
- Basic server logs. Our host keeps standard request logs (like IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and secure.
What we don't do
- No ads and no ad trackers.
- No analytics cookies. This site doesn't set cookies at all right now.
- We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
- "Near me" asks your browser for your location only when you tap it. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
How we use it
Tips help us decide where to go check next. Sign ups help us reach restaurants to set up a check. If you gave us your email, we may write back about your tip or sign up. That's it.
Who handles it
The site runs on Netlify. Spots, receipts, and form submissions are stored with Supabase. Map tiles come from OpenFreeMap. Our Instagram lives on Instagram, and their privacy policy applies there.
Keeping and deleting
We keep submissions as long as they're useful for running 10Spot. Want yours deleted or want to see what we have? Email us and we'll take care of it.
Changes
If this changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
